The whole sales organisation – starting with the internal employees and the representatives to the trade- or else partners – has, based on information material prepared the company and specific to them or via discussions, to pass the relevant market information to the company/the marketing department.
They then will process such information and pass it on to the relavant departments internally and they will use it for additional conclusions regarding the future sales processes.
Measures to control the efficiency/effectiveness an be e. g.:
* Turnover/Profit per product/period/employee(representative)/sales route, or similar
* Number of new clients per product/region,employee/sales route, etc.
* Success by whom/with whom when client binding action were undertaken
