Strategic marketing requires comprehensive information - e. g. before entering a foreign market. Michael Richter, international marketing- and sales consultant, Seekirch/Germany, has collected for more than 50 countries which he visited several times himself links to such information.

They are available at this site and include e. g. an economic profile (facts and figures from the world factbook) together with a host of country information from FITA (The Federation of international Trade Associations).

Besides of that, and in his capacity as a marketing and sales consultant, he places particular emphasis on information regarding local/regional exhibitions and fairs, the national chambers of industry, various maps of the countries, search engines available locally as well as the latest and relevant statistics of the world bank. Furthermore – as far as available – the local commercial agents’ organizations are mentioned.

Although all links were life when putting the information together the one or the other may have become inactive. The available information, however, will lead to up-to-date information through other links.

Of course such a collection can never be sufficient with regard to the actual marketing and sales procedure to be followed for a specific country and product - not even to speak of a corresponding marketing plan or the personal knowledge of the country itself and its mentality. But in any case it represents a good basis for the first information.

Many more other available resources are used by Michael depending on the products and needs of a company.
